The invention relates to a method for operating a mine-sweeping system (21): - wherein the mine-sweeping system (21) comprises at least one drone (22) for detonating sea mines; - wherein the drone (22) comprises at least one magnet element (27a, 27b, 28) for magnetically detonating the sea mines; - wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) translationally moving the at least one drone (22) in the water and b) carrying out a first rotational movement of the drone (22) with respect to a first degree of rotational freedom (r1). A corresponding mine-sweeping system (21) is also disclosed.
