Provided are an in-train air quality monitoring and ventilation control method and system. The in-train air quality monitoring and ventilation control method comprises: acquiring multiple sets of quality inspection data of air inside and outside a train; using experimental data to calculate comprehensive evaluation indices Q0 and Q1 of air inside and outside the train; if Q0 ≥ Q1, training an out-of-train fresh air volume control model, and if not, training an in-train air purification control model; inspecting the quality inspection data of air inside and outside the train; using the inspection data to calculate the comprehensive evaluation indices Q0 and Q1 of the air inside and outside the train; if Q0 ≥ Q1, calling the out-of-train fresh air volume control model, calculating a required ventilation volume level, and controlling a ventilation system by using said output result; and if not, calling the in-train air purification control model, calculating a required ventilation volume level and a power level of an air purification device, and controlling the ventilation system and the air purification device by using said output result. An appropriate ventilation control policy is selected according to different levels of air quality. The invention is environmentally friendly, conserves energy, and ensures healthy air quality inside a high-speed train.
