DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOLAR POWER BASED ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BOOTHS This invention focuses on charging booth for electric vehicle based on solar power. Most promising low cost renewable energy is offered by solar power which can be made available for charging of electric vehicles. Power flow of the system is tested by primary 9-bus distribution system using Newton Raphson method, where the voltage angle and the solar panel size is compared using DIgSILENT program at 100 kWh are obtained as 2.04% and 3.91% respectively. Analysis of charging station installation is done by 3 bus test system for distribution system of a solar electric vehicle with power flow analysis in time series. System power loss and maximum demand of energy is affected by the charging time of the EV. The simulation result obtains the size of the solar panel greater than 7.39 kWp. Solar power generated in the charging station is analyzed by PyPSA program shows that load expansion is allowed in the system whenever required. Figure 1.
