The present invention provides a method for evaluating driving behavior of a truck based on GPS trajectory data, comprising the following steps: screening all driving trajectory data of a vehicle to be tested from original GPS data; processing the driving trajectory data to obtain effective driving trajectory data; performing analyzing processing to the effective driving trajectory data to obtain an effective investigation trajectory; and calculating a risky driving behavior index of the effective investigation trajectory to evaluate the driving behavior. The present invention also provides a device for evaluating driving behavior of a truck based on GPS trajectory data. In the present invention, by mining for massive GPS original data, an effective trajectory trip is extracted and a main running path of the vehicle is identified. By establishing a scoring mechanism for driving behavior trajectory of a truck driver with different indexes and different weights, it is possible to accurately recover the driving trajectory data, improve the dividing precision for trip trajectories, properly provide driving safety evaluation parameters, and perform evaluation on potential risky driving behaviors and overweight driving load. screening all driving trajectory data of a vehicle 101 to be tested from original GPS data; processing the driving trajectory data to obtain 102 effective driving trajectory data; performing analyzing processing to the effective 103 driving trajectory data to obtain an effective investigation trajectory; calculating a risky driving behavior index of the 104 effective investigation trajectory to evaluate the driving behavior.
