The invention relates to a lift system arrangement (1) having a car, a brake piece (2), and a lift brake device (5) for braking the car (3) on the brake piece (2), preferably on a brake piece (2) integrated in a guide rail, the lift brake device (5) comprising: a brake housing (6), which is mounted displaceably in the lift brake device (5) and is held in a ready position by an applied force; a brake body (7), which is mounted movably on the brake housing (6) and is designed to clamp the brake piece (2); a push piece (8), which is mounted on the brake housing (6) such that the brake piece (2) can be arranged between the brake body and the push piece (8), characterized in that, when the lift brake device (5) is installed, the distance from the car-side delimiting plane (21) of the lift brake device (5) to the end face of the brake piece (2) is less than 70% of the distance from the car-side delimiting plane (21) of the lift brake device (5) to the plane (20) remote from the car.
