A submarine machine system (100) according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a first submarine machine (10) which performs underwater work while moving in a prescribed traveling direction; and a second submarine machine (30) which performs underwater work in place of the first submarine machine (10), wherein the second submarine machine (30) is configured such that, when substitution takes place from the first submarine machine (10), the second submarine machine (30) comes close to the first submarine machine (10) on the basis of a signal transmitted from the first submarine machine (10).
