Abstract (written by Examiner) A surfboard fin adaptor device for enabling FCS fins to fit into Future Fin Boxes. There are two embodiments to suit the FCS1 system and the FCS2 system. The first embodiment adaptor includes two vertical 3mm countersunk tapered screws that push up from the underside of the adaptor into two horizontal, springed, rounded pins that push into the rear of the fin tabs, securing the adaptor to the fin. The second embodiment utilises the convex indentation of the existing fin clip securing design, wherein one side of the adaptor is open with the other side enclosed in plastic/bamboo pulp polymer/rice husk polymer, with a 5mm indentation in the enclosed side of the adaptor where it can interlock with the fin tab, such that no screws are needed to secure the fin in place. The adaptor must use biodegradable non-petroleum based plastic alternatives in order to prevent ecological harm should it find its way into waterways or the ocean.
