Abstract A trailer steer system which locks according to vehicle and sub-frame alignment actuated by electric or pneumatic switches arranged in series such that unlocking can only be achieved by divergence from linear alignment by the towing (first in sequence) vehicle. The locking device with primary thrust pneumatic locking is combined with a double lever, pneumatically activated at right angles to the primary thrust combined with a stopping block. The steering action is conferred by rotating axles such that said axles rotate in a plane which is it inclined away from the central rotational axis of the steered subframe. -- C xi
