An elevator (1) comprising a suspension member arrangement (9) comprising a plurality of suspension members (11), each suspension member (11) comprising electrically conductive cords (33) and a monitoring arrangement (17) for monitoring an integrity status of the suspension member arrangement (9) is proposed. The monitoring arrangement (17) comprises: - an alternating voltage generator arrangement (21) comprising at least one alternating voltage generator (35) for generating first and second alternating voltages being phase shifted with respect to each other; - a plurality of input and output connectors (29, 31), each for establishing electrical contacts to cords (33) comprised in one of the suspension members (11); - a voltage analyser arrangement (23) comprising at least one voltmeter (37, 39, 45, 47) for measuring and analysing a neutral point voltage resulting upon applying each one of the first and second alternating voltages to first and second cords (33) of at least one of the suspension members (11), respectively, and after transmission of the first and second alternating voltages through the cords (33) and superposition of the transmitted first and second alternating voltages at a neutral point at which the first and second cords (23) are electrically interconnected; and - a supply circuitry (25) comprising supply lines (26) electrically interconnecting the at least one alternating voltage generator (35) with the input connectors (29) and a measurement circuitry (27) comprising measurement lines (28) electrically interconnecting the at least one voltmeter (37, 39, 45, 47) with at least one of the input connectors (29) and the output connectors (31). Therein, the supply lines (26) and the measurement lines (28) are separated from each other. Thereby, disturbing influences of impedances through the supply circuitry (25) may be minimized due to voltage measurements being performed through the separate measurement circuitry (27).
