Boom arm (1b) screwed into deck stand Monitor (4) fitted to monitor mount (3) . Boom arm edge rests just over ship's rail. Wired camera connections (11) are made at base. End poles (8) are connected, including aluminium joiner (9). Rare earth magnet (7) is clipped to first (lower) long pole (6). Subsequent long poles (6) are screwed into preceding pole, each with rare earth magnet (7) clipped on, and fed through hinged deck mounting clamp (2) . Once the desired height (ie camera (11) about 1 metre above waterline) the deck stand (1) clamp is closed and tightened using thumbscrew. Battery (5) is fitted to battery holder (5b) on deck stand and strapped in. Connections battery (5) to monitor (4) and battery (5) to camera (11). * each connection is unique so it is impossible to connect up incorrectly. Unit is then ready for use.
