Auto-adaptive lighting system for an urban public transport vehicle This lighting system includes a set of at least two lighting sources (14i) each emitting along a separate general emission direction (Di), each with a light intensity independent from those of the other lighting sources (14i), forming a light cone (Ci) centered on the corresponding general emission direction (Di), means for detecting surrounding objects in each of said light cones (Ci), able to detect at least one sensitive subject in at least one of said light cones (Ci), and a control module connected to the set of lighting sources (14) and the means for detecting surrounding objects, able to control the light intensity of at least one of the lighting sources (14) based on a position of a sensitive subject detected by the detection means.
