Abstract The present invention pertains to a mobile crusher with variable oblique positioning of the crusher unit in relation to the following face conveyor. The mobile crusher according to the present invention has a front and a rear crawler-type chassis. According to the present invention, both the rear and the front crawler-type chassis are pivotable opposite the longitudinal axis of the mobile crusher. The front chassis is a double-crawler chassis, which is basically steered via the traveling mechanisms, i.e., the double-crawler-type chassis is rotated via different speeds of rotations of the two crawlers. This chassis can therefore travel in any direction, which has very great advantages in the turning of the mobile crusher. The support frame is preferably supported by means of a ball and socket joint. Advantageously, the mobile crusher can thus be moved in any necessary direction. During the traveling backwards of the mobile crusher, the crusher can be steered via the rear chassis (which represents the front chassis during the traveling backwards as viewed in the direction of travel). The mobile crusher can advantageously also always assume the optimal position to the dredging shovel in smaller movements and thus the necessary slewing movements of the dredger can be minimized, which leads to savings of energy and time.
