INTERNATIONAL programmes such as the Concorde and Jaguar not only can be made to work, but are working. This was the theme of a paper read on July 8 in Montreal before a joint meeting of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute by Mr A. H. C. Greenwood, J.P., A.F.R.Ae.S., Assistant Managing Director of British Aircraft Corporation (Operating) Ltd. Mr Greenwood, who presented his paper under the heading of ‘The Management of Large European International Programmes’, was the only Briton invited to take part in this symposium on Project Management. An abridged version of the paper is given below (references to Jaguar have been largely omitted).
