IN an article, referred to throughout as “the previous article”, on the calculation of secondary stresses, the method of moment balance was applied to a frame built up of prismatic members; that method is here extended to apply to frames containing non-uniform members. The same symbols and sign conventions as before are adopted, with certain modifications and additions which are mentioned as they occur.
