Concorde, as is well known, has a most unusual fuel system with its own unusual conditions. It is normal for fuel transfer between tanks to take place in flight but that it should be used for fore and aft trim is another matter. In addition the fuel is used as a heat sink to prevent the outer skin at supersonic cruise acting as a 270°F oven for the passengers.
