RADIO SCREENING FOR SPARKING PLUGS The complete screening of the ignition circuit on engines becomes more important as wireless receiving sets of greater sensitivity come into use. For complete screening, in addition to the magneto and high-tension cables it is necessary to enclose the sparking plugs in “earthed” metal casings. The photograph reproduced shows an outside view of a device for this purpose made by Lodge Plugs, Ltd., of Rugby, and the partly sectioned drawing shows the construction of the screening cap and how it is fitted to the sparking plug and high-tension cable.
