Two ‘turnkey’ systems have recently been delivered overseas by Amchem to automate the production of nozzle guide vanes. Both systems are based on the VM range of EDM machines and are fully automatic but there the similarity ends. One system is used for the production of new parts whereas the second was designed to complete the repair process for already used components.
