Canada's aerospace industry has earned an international reputation for excellence in a diversified range of specialized products. More than 3,000 Canadian utility transport aircraft, such as the de Havilland Beaver, Twin Otter and Caribou and Canadair Water Bomber, have been produced since 1947 to serve in at least 70 countries. Large numbers of military aircraft have been produced under licence in Canada using advanced materials and manfacturing techniques.
