WIND tunnel testing of aircraft models can generate a multitude of transducer signal outputs which can take days to wire up to the receiving instrumentation (see fig. 1). It can take even longer to re-wire for different tests to be performed. By using a programmable switching system, the Precision Filters 4096/4196, initial set-up and re-configuration can be reduced to a matter of seconds. This means significantly more up-time for the expensive wind tunnel facility and the associated instrumentation, measuring greater throughput for the test facility.
