A SYMPOSIUM on the future of world air transport was held at the 24th Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association, which took place at Munich in October 1968. Among the four papers presented was one by Mr Gabriel Bouladou, of the Battelle Institute in Geneva, who, in presenting a broad global review of the theme of the symposium, made particular reference to scientific methods of forecasting overall transportation problems and the technological trends which could have a bearing on the future of aviation.
