EPOXY void fillers are low density materials capable of resisting compressive loads. With densities of from 0.45 to 0.75 depending on the grade they do not offer a weight penalty in the structure. Void fillers are used in both structural and non-structural applications in aircraft to reinforce certain areas of honeycomb against compressive load.
