Rapidly increasing fuel costs have prompted a re-evaluation of the propeller as the means of propulsion for civil aircraft. The development of new blade aerofoil sections combined with structural designs using grp and carbon fibre have led to new types of propeller which offer enhanced efficiencies and significant operational advantages.
