Abstract Using Hill's equations an analytical scheme for the representation of the Satellite-to-Satellite Tracking observables has been developed. As a test, it is applied to a pair of satellites in near-circular orbit, at an altitude around 200 km. The gravitational models GEM-10B and PGS-S4 were chosen to produce a residual gravity field for the generation of the SST observables. For this step the GEODYN program has been employed. The verification of the analytical theory is achieved in the frequency domain. The mixed radix FFT algorithm was used for the final elaboration of numerical data. The first results of the comparison are presented.
