Abstract As we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the National Center for Injury Prevention (NCIPC) and Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are looking at the possibilities for progress in the next decade and beyond. We face many challenges, but through collaboration, innovation and creativity, we can meet the challenges ahead and ensure that the field of injury and violence prevention continues to work toward the goal of allowing people to live their lives injury and violence free.
