Abstract The concepts used in the AUDIT (Assessment Using Debris Impact Theory) debris modelling suite are introduced. A sensitivity analysis is carried out to determine the dominant parameters in the modelling process. A test case simulating the explosion of a satellite suggest that at the parent altitude there is a greater probability of collision with more massive fragments.
