Abstract This study investigates the types of information provided by airports on their website. The purpose is to identify the main objectives of contemporary airport websites. This study also investigates website size and structure to see if differences exist between airports.

    Highlights ► The 451 European airport websites studied have an average of 52 pages of information. ► Websites are structured on a hierarchy of between one to four level headings. ► Content on passenger services and information has the greatest presence. ► Significant differences in website size and content exist between airports.
