AbstractThe Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emissin and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) is one of the research facility instrument of EOS-AM1, which is the first polar-orbiting platform of EOS (Earth Observing System) program. The ASTER instrument is being built by MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry), Japan, based on the requirements of ASTER science team.ASTER science team is an international team of Japanese and American scientists.
