Abstract We study the and quadrupole moment of the cosmic microwave background temperature fluctuations predicted in several cosmological scenarios as compared with present day large angular scales observations. In order to properly assess the disagreement between theory and observations, we also consider the confidence intervals of the predicted values in the various scenarios. We also discuss the non-linear gravitational effect on of some prominent structures observed in our surrounding universe.
