AbstractThe main principles and applications of complex satellite measurements with increased spatial and spectral resolution in optical and microwave spectral ranges for remote sensing of the atmosphere are discussed. The mathematical models for global investigation of optical and meteorological parameters of the atmosphere by complex multichannel satellite measurements are presented. The possibilities for satellite remote sensing of the atmospheric aerosol and water content are examined.
