Abstract Wolf-Rayet stars can significantly contribute to the galactic cosmic-ray source by synthesizing anomalous material and then dispersing it into the interstellar medium by means of their stellar winds. In this note the cases of 26Al and the heavy isotopes of Fe are discussed.
