Abstract This review is restricted to a few topics related to coronal structures and flare associated phenomena. Emphasis is made on the interest of joint observations in the whole spectral domain. It is shown that recent instruments with high temporal, spatial and/or spectral resolution have deeply modified some of the curently well accepted ideas.
