AbstractA method is described for predicting the maximum angle of climb for different road speeds. Required data are a torque curve for the motor, overall gear ratios, mass of the vehicle, number of revolutions of the road wheels divided by the distance travelled in the absence of slip, coefficient of aerodynamic drag, projected frontal area and rolling resistance.
