AbstractIn the soil cutting process, the forces on the blade of a bulldozer are variable and complicated, and they decrease the performance of bulldozers. It's significant to understand soil-blade interaction in researching the performance, design and utilization of bulldozers. This paper deals with the soil cutting process and sets up a mathematical model of soil-blade interaction. This mathematical model can be provided for computer simulation and its validity can be examined by experiments.
