AbstractThe vibrations of free surface deformations are directly measured by an optical video system for an oscillatory thermocapillary convection in liquid bridge of half floating zone. The vibration frequency of free surface is agreed with one of temperature measured by inserted thermal couple. The basic features of free surface vibrations are discussed.
