Railroad line change eliminates 10 of 11 grade crossings on heavily traveled road between Eugene and Springfield, Ore; remaining crossing is bridged by temporary timber structure, and highway approaches on both sides of bridge are graded and paved; additional improvements have been postponed until after war.
