Heterogeneous daily traffic flow contains various-sized vehicles, operating freely and on fixed tracks, pedestrians, bicycles, carts, and even loose animals in some locales; factors involved in urban transport co-ordination are land development, transport systems, policy considerations, and travel potentials; on basis of data collected in Baltimore, Bombay, Brisbane, Hobart, London, Nashville, and Skopje, Yugoslavia; illustrations are given on percentage of car trips, distribution of private and public transportation, and modes of travel; data should be used for setting up required transit system.
