Organization and operation of Ship Maintenance Authority of British Royal Navy to place warships on fully planned and standardized system of maintenance; it is now possible to indicate relative state of marine engineering, weapons and radio, and hull material of ship; this is achieved by using stamina charts which give clear indication of trends in upkeep state of individual ships or classes of ship; sufficient data have already been collected and analyzed to enable modifications to equipment in fleet which have increased reliability and decreased maintenance.
