Technique consists of measuring response of aeroelastically scaled model in simulated free flight to gust field generated in wind tunnel by oscillating airfoils located upstream of test section; freedom of model in approximation of free flight is provided by two-cable support system; description of airstream oscillator system and model mount system; some results of application to fighter-type model are presented.
