Account of current permanent way practice of Delaware and Hudson Railroad; experimental lengths of main line track welded into continuous lengths up to max of 2700 ft at Albany during 1935 and at Mechanicville during 1934; these installations proved so successful that Railroad decided to eliminate rail joints altogether.
