Data obtained from records made of reaction, fuel and liquidoxygen feed pressures, combustion chamber pressure, and duration of reaction over 25 rocket motors used in deriving three empirical rocket design formulas; with formulas as basis for rational design of liquid fuel rocket, it is shown that present development of rocket motor is already sufficient to propel meteorological rocket to altitude of 7 1/2 mi.
