Seven vessels built by Furness Shipbuilding Co, for Machineimport Central Corp, Moscow; length 321 ft 6 in.; breadth 48 ft; depth 22 ft 9 in.; propelled by triple-expansion engine taking superheated steam from two boilers working under forced-draft conditions; engines have cyl diam of 20, 33 and 57 in., and stroke of 42 in., use steam at pressure of 220 lb per sq in., and develop 1750 ihp at 77 rpm.
