Built by Neptunwerft Rostock; length bp 300 ft 3 in.; breadth 43 ft 3 in.; depth to shelter deck 27 ft 3 in.; propelled by 4-cyl Lentz engine which, with Bauer-Wach exhaust-steam turbine, develops total of 1600 hp; steam at 228 lb per sq in. gage pressure supplied by two boilers having total heating surface of 4090 sq ft, boilers being equipped with superheaters and Howden's forced draft.
