To solve problems of decelerating and stabilizing recovery vehicles, other form of positive stabilization and deceleration means is required than conventional parachute; methods used by Goodyear Aircraft Corp to establish feasible system with extended performance capabilities; research and test techniques; it is shown that expandable structure, balloon-type deceleration and stabilization system is feasible.
