In addition to drag measurements of balloon and payload combination, pressure and temperature distributions around balloon were measured and compared with calculated values; results include some effects of Reynolds number, angle of attack, balloon inflation pressure, tow-cable length, payload shape, and Mach number; pertinence to drogue parachutes and balloon type devices, deployed in recovery systems.
