At Carter Carburetor Div, ACF Industries, Inc, continuous program is underway to develop manufacturing and quality control processes which complement design effort made to improve carburetors that satisfy emission limits while maintaining performance characteristics, paper explains need for improved carburetor uniformity and program in operation to achieve uniformity; test facility and test equipment including examples of work achieved relating to float setting, port relation gaging, idle screw balance adjustment, balanced bore-to-bore air leakage, and air testing of metering components.
