Recent developments in area of elastomer applications reviewed are limited to those which are different from parts and applications used in United States as result of basic difference in design concept because of size, weight, power, and methods of transmitting power; automobile components discussed include door seals, ignition system, radiator and heater hose, engine and valve seals, camshaft and steering components, disk brakes, power transmission, transmission belts, and glazing; elastomers discussed are polychloroprene and vinylidene fluoridehexafluoropropylene copolymer.
