Transom stern ship with Pleuger rudder was built by Cochrane and Sons to order of Ministry of Agriculture, for fishing and special services of fisheries laboratories at Lowestoft; fixed blade propeller is fitted although provision is made for possible installation of controllable pitch unit; 35-ton tank for carrying up to 20 tons of live fish is provided; length oa 154 ft, molded breadth 29 ft; 6-cyl Ruston engine develops 1000 bhp at 500 rpm; plan.
