Four studies include determination of forces and moments at hubs of various rotor configurations, control of natural frequencies of rotor blades by use of multiple flapping hinges or flex-joints, mechanical instability of rotors with inclusion of additional degrees of freedom in rotor support, and effect of stiffness and damping on gyroscopic whirling instability of propellers.
