Laboratory measurements indicated that energy dependence of collision frequency, not considered in Appleton-Hartree calculations, must be used to derive "true" collision frequency and density; use of Boltzmann transfer equation slightly affects values of electron density but yields collision frequencies 2.5 times lower than " effective" frequencies.
