British Ropes Ltd utilize ex-Ferguson lifeboat built of wood for floating test station; length is 28 ft, beam 10 ft, and it has been fitted with simple gear; study is being made of electro galvanizing versus hot galvanized wire, sacrificial protection and rate of removal of zinc on steel trawl warps, mooring chains, electric potential between ship to shore and ship to sea bed, fully submerged galvanized and plastic sheathed ropes, nylon, fabric finishes, etc.
